Artisan Organic Essential Oils (Single-Herb)
Bergamot - Cold pressed in Calabria, Italy, from the peels of bergamot oranges. A smooth blend of fresh-citrus topnotes mingling with full-bodied fruity-sweet-green notes. Balancing, uplifting and gently warming, Bergamot oil regulates mood swings and lifts the spirits. Topically this oil is used in dilution to balance skin that is oily, scaly or slow to heal. Caution: Increases skin photosensitivity, so avoid any exposure to sunlight 48 hours after topical use.
Blue Tansy - From northern Morocco, a unique cobalt-blue oil rich in azulenes. The frangrance combines saturated fruity-sweet with apple-green notes, laced with a fresh spicyness. Calming, soothing and refreshing at the same time, Blue tansy will help relieve everyday stress and reduce tension, anxiety and worry. This oil can also help resolve emotional frustration, irritability and oversensitivity. When used in dilution, Blue tansy is cooling to the skin and helps with irritated, itching, inflamed eczema or damaged skin in general.
Clove Bud - A deeply glowing, sensuous frangrance from prime Madagascar cloves, with sweet, spicy and floral notes. Clove bud oil strengthens and warms, while promoting sensuality. For lethargy and weakness both physical and emotional. Clove bud awakens emotional self-confidence and promotes courage, motivation and grounding. Combines well with Ginger, Jasmine, Coriander seed, Cedarwood and all citrus oils in general. Caution: Avoid topical use of this skin-irritant oil.
Fir, Grand - Distilled in Central France from the needles of the tall grand fir, this oil shows sweet, green lemony frangrance notes with a balsamic undertow. Grand fir is tonifying, uplifting and clearing. By de-fogging and enhancing mental functions, this oil addresses mental confusion, listlessness and depression. Grand fir will also relieve tiredness.
Lemongrass - A smooth, gentle lemony-herbaceous oil distilled in Ethiopia. Lemongrass promotes relaxed focus, poise and clarity both mentally and emotionally. For confusion, lack of perspective and reactive loss of "cool." Lemongrass can produce steady, collected mental creativity. This oil is a good skin toner for atonic or devitalized skin. Caution: As Lemongrass is somewhat skin-irritant, use only in a 1% dilution, i.e. six drops per one oz of carrier oil.
Mandarin - Cold-pressed in South Africa from the fresh peels, Mandarin is a favorite with kids of all ages. A fresh, tangy, sparkling oil that mixes bright citrus with sweet, fruity notes. Clarifying, harmonizing and relaxing, it relieves confusion, mood swings, tension and irritability. Mandarin can also be used for anger with depression. Use topically in dilution for oily or congested skin.
Myrrh - A special oil distilled in Ethiopia from high-grade wildcrafted resin. The fragrance note is a rick ambery-sweet-wood with a hint of spicy. Strengthening, grounding and calming, Myrrh fosters mental-emotional centering and composure. The oil is excellent for meditation and can appease mental hyperactivity. Useful also for many skin problems. Caution: Do not attempt to use this viscous oil in a nebulizer; it will simply clog it up and cause a breakdown.
Myrtle, Green - A green, sweet fresh camphoraceous oil distilled in Morocco from the leafy tree twigs. Green myrtle is balancing, revitalizing and uplifting. This oil promotes body-mind balance while relieving mental inconsistency and mood swings. gently increases focus and clarity, and relieves mental weariness and depression. Green myrtle also is a classic for chest rubs and steam inhalations for lower and upper respiratory infections.
Patchouli - A velvety, full-bodied oil from Indonesia distilled from the dried, fermented patchouli leaves. This oil has deep ambery, woody, rooty and mossy tones. Patchouli induces centering, calmness, and sensuality. For insecurity, fearfulness and anxiety, especially when associated with nervous tension. Reduces sensual and sexual inhibition. Topically, Patchouli is used for rough, cracked skin and oily skin and scalp. The oil is also a good deodorant.
Petitgrain - The distillation from the leaves of the bitter orange tree creates a sweet citrus oil with warm-woody-spicy base notes. Petitgrain oil is relaxing and grounding, and is usefull in states of nervous tension with sleeping problems, worrying and tizziness. It can also strengthen in cases of exhaustion and burnout. Tones the skin and helps resolve oily skin. Use in a hair rinse for oily scalp and hair.
Tea Tree - Distilled in Australia's East Coast, a delicate fresh-sweet, lemony, oil. Tea tree gently stimulates, clarifies and centers in conditions of mental confusion, poor focus, worry and low self-assertion. Tea tree can enhance mental creativity. A versatile topical oil used for infections of many types.
Thyme Linalool - A sweet, green herbaceous oil from France. Thyme linalool is regulating and tonifying by nature, and so useful for mood swings, mental inconsistency and energy swings. Like Niaouli and Tea tree also, this oil is a versatile oil for topical or local infusions. This Thyme is also supportive for those with chronic immune deficiencies.
Wintergreen - A very fresh, uplifting, sweet-camphoraceous oil that cears the brain and strengthens the mind. Wintergreen oil is steam distilled in Nepal from the organically grown wintergreen herb. With its high content in methyl salicylate, this is a classic oil for topical use in a 1% dilution for wind-damp-heat muscular aches and pains, where its action is unrivalled. Also helpful for bladder-kidney infections with damp-heat, lung phlegm-heat with sputum and full heat conditions in general.
